Fruitful times!

The first three pictures below are special to me for three different reasons. In the first picture, I shared the gospel with a young lady who had never heard it before. This is one of the reasons that it is so important that we evangelize. There are people in our communities who do not know the saving message of Christ. This young lady listened very intently and I could tell that the Holy Spirit was dealing with her heart.

In the second picture, I am holding a sign with some students who are a part of a Christian club at the University. I was invited to teach them how to evangelize. I taught them how I used the heaven test sign to start conversations with students. They were a bit apprehensive at first, but when we went out to the square and held the sign, students began to flock to us. We were able to teach them, and to demonstrate to them, how to share the gospel. It was a neat experience.

The third picture is my favorite. Two students were talking to one another. I don’t know who either of them are, nor did I talk to them. However, I do know that the student on the right was sharing the gospel with the student on the left. The reason that I think this is so wonderful is because this student was emboldened to share the gospel with his fellow student simply because we were out there. In other words, he piggybacked off our evangelism efforts! I love that!

The pictures don’t even show half of the many students that we have engaged with in the past two months. Sometimes Angel and I are so busy talking to students that we are unable to sneak away to snap a picture. God is doing some amazing things at the University of Florida, and I am believing for greater things to come!

At the Church

God is moving at our church. I often sense His presence during our services. We have added new families and they quickly become like family. Recently, a new couple expressed how they felt to be family at our church. They have only been attending for a few months but our church has done a wonderful job of welcoming them.

Regarding fellowship and community, our church has become close to what I think the New Testament church was like. We dine together often and enjoy time with each other. The members care for each other, often visiting, calling, and texting when someone is sick or in need. It is a beautiful thing to behold.

Regarding spirituality, I am not satisfied. I want revival. I want to really see God move upon hearts and minds. I have fond memories of days gone by when we would spend hours at the altar, when we would cast away everything and anything that hindered us from being close to God. And I read about times in history when God would move mightily in a church and a community. I really want to see that.

I can tell when people haven’t experienced God in this way. They’re missing something really important. I don’t want my church to miss this vital aspect of Christianity, that is, really experiencing God. I don’t want my children to miss this. Pray with me as I pray for this in my church.

Thank you

Thank you for your continued support, it really means a lot. The Chaffee family is doing well. God has blessed us and continues to bless us, thanks to your prayers and support. I pray that God richly blesses you and your family. Amen!
