Spring Newsletter 2024

As spring ends and summer comes into view, I reflect back upon the previous school year. Numerous seeds were planted, and the impact of those seeds will not be known until eternity. But I know how one small encounter can be life-changing, especially in the lives of those seeking to make sense of the world around them. Christianity provides the most robust worldview and answers all of life’s questions. This is because it is the truth! It’s a truth that is inconvenient to college students wishing to indulge in vain, worldly pleasures, but if they are willing to open their eyes, they will see that the Lord’s salvation is a fountain of living water springing up to everlasting life!

Divided more than ever

On our last day on campus, we encountered a protest in progress, with many students chanting pro-Palestinian slogans. There are many Jews on campus, and we speak with them often. A small number of Jews and sympathizers joined in the counter-protest. We felt compelled to join with them, to show them that Christians love the Jewish people and that we understand the lies and hatred that are so prevalent as of late. A few of them recognized me from speaking with me on campus in days gone by. They were thrilled to have our support, thanking us repeatedly. The Jews may not be pleasing to God at this time, but it’s our job to bless and not curse. God is the judge. One day, all of Israel will be saved. They will remember the kindness we have shown them.

Sadly, the world is so divided. It’s tempting not to take sides, to try to be the neutral party. But this is not possible. We must always side with truth and righteousness, being clear about what we believe. We can do this with love and respect. Only by having a clear message will we save anyone. If we are vague about what we believe, anyone who does come among us will eventually have to face the truth. It is best that they know it all upfront, especially the controversial issues. Let them count the cost first, as Jesus taught, lest they start and cannot finish.

Summer is here!

We have an action-packed summer ahead of us! First of all, we are expecting baby number seven at any time now! Wow. It’s hard to believe that I came here over 20 years ago by myself with a few things in my car, and now I have a family so large that no normal vehicle will fit us all! Thankfully, the Lord has blessed us with a 15-passenger van. Without it, we wouldn’t be able to all ride together.

The church is also going strong. The Lord has added to our numbers, and I believe we are on the precipice of exponential growth. We have a great team, and the Lord has blessed our services. I look forward to reporting more good news in the months to come.

Regarding evangelism, my goal is to get out to some new spots this summer. I’ll have to take a little break for the baby, but I have a contact in Jacksonville who will help us find the best spots to evangelize. Look for pictures and stories soon!

Thank you so much for your continued support! I pray the Lord’s blessings upon your lives abundantly! I pray the Lord bless and save your family and friends! May the Lord give you health and prosperity, spirit, soul, and body, in Jesus’ name. Amen!
