If you fail in this you will die.

Remember that you must … do everything the Lord requires. If you fail in this, you will die. Lev 8:35

The smartest way to live your life is to figure out the way things work and live accordingly, rather than to fight against what is impossible to change.  Some things you can change, some things you cannot.  Rather than wasting energy on what you cannot change, focus on the things you can change.

Many people live their lives in delusion.  They have a fantasy idea of what life should be like and are upset when life doesn’t pan out they way that they think that it should.  Usually these people end up in depression, or maybe insanity.  This is not a smart way to live!  Don’t deceive yourself into thinking that you are so smart that you know how the world works. Especially so if you are a teenager!

A lot of your life should be spent endeavoring to understand how the world works.  When you can get in harmony with how things work your life will just ‘work.’

The great thing about all this is that the bible is our instruction manual on how the world works.

In the above scripture the priests of the Old Testament were told that if they did not do all that the Lord required, they would die.  The same is true for us today in a spiritual sense.  God doesn’t judge us the same that he judged those who sinned under the old covenant, because Christ has borne the judgment for us, but on the other hand when we walk in our own understanding, not seeking what the Lord requires, we live in a state of death.

This is where faith comes in.  You’ve got to understand that the Lord desires the best for you.  You’ve got to believe that when He tells you to do or not to do something that it is only for your good.  Don’t fight against what He says because it doesn’t seem fair.  Instead, submit to what is required of you so that it may go well with you.

Spend time with God in prayer and in His word so you can understand the things that are required of you.  Also, you will begin to understand the things that can be changed and that the Lord wills for you to fight against.

If you use your energy to fight for the things you can change, you will be a much more successful person in life.  And much happier, as well.
