A NEW YEAR.
I think that many of us are glad for a new year to come. Though we are yet to behold what 2021 might bring, 2020 was a rollercoaster that most of us are ready to get off of. And although 2021 is uncertain, and although we know that difficult days are ahead of us, we can look at this hope of a new year as an allegory. It’s an allegory of the ‘new’ that God has promised each and every one of us in His Word. He has promised us a new life, a new body, a new heavens, a new earth, a new time—a time in which righteousness and peace reign, when death and sorrow are no more, when all tears will be wiped away from our eyes, when pain will cease and the children of God will enjoy the inheritance of the kingdom of God.
Just as sure as 2020 turns to 2021, so we can be assured that this present darkness will be overcome by a shining light. Jesus will part the sky, coming on clouds of glory. All eyes will see him. He will bring in His new kingdom, reigning from New Jerusalem, saying, “Behold, I make all things new.”
What a great hope that we have!
A Different Kind of Christmas!
The Chaffee family had a wonderful Christmas this year! We wondered how Christmas might work living in an RV and did not expect how things turned out this holiday season. Instead of having a small space for Christmas, we had the biggest space we’ve ever had! Instead of cramming presents under a one foot tree in the RV, we were able to celebrate in our church’s gym lobby, putting presents under the tree that the church erected for decoration. And instead of being confined in a house, the children had their toys strewn across the church’s gym floor, riding scooters and skateboards, playing with remote controlled cars, and having the time of their lives. This was definitely a Christmas for the record books, a Christmas that won’t be forgotten!

Ministry During COVID
Despite COVID and cold weather, we were able to get out some for ministry, holding signs and talking to people on the streets. I even took my children out for some door-to-door literature distribution. They are excellent at it! We plan to do more of it.
In the first of the new year, we will be focusing on online ministry mostly. It makes more sense in the midst of cold weather and COVID. My YouTube channel continues to grow and it doesn’t make sense to not seek to minister to the two billion people that use it. Pray that the Lord will give me the wisdom that I need to minister to those who visit us online. We may not have these platforms forever, but we will use them as long as we can.
I will also being setting aside a considerable amount of time for prayer and for seeking God regarding this ministry. Please pray with me as I seek God for direction regarding this ministry.
Thank you and God bless!
