James 2:20 “Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless?”

This is such an important statement. Faith without works is dead. Or you can say it this way: If you really believe something, then you’ll act like you believe it. James then gives us a few examples of this: Abraham and Rahab. Abraham believed God when He said that Issac would be his heir. When God asked him to sacrifice Issac he still believed God’s word was true (that Issac would be his heir). So instead of doubting God, he just figured that God would have to raise the dead! That’s faith!
Rahab believed God’s Word was true concerning Isreal and the promised land, so she sent the spies out another way. This is a simple illustration of how you act on what you really believe.
