Proverbs 13:2
“A man shall eat well by the fruit of his mouth, but the soul of the unfaithful feeds on violence.”

The fruit of your mouth is the results you get from the words you speak. You can eat well (or enjoy good things – NIV) by speaking in such a way as to produce good results. This is so true! Have you ever noticed that the people in life who are the most successful tend to be the people who can clearly communicate in a way that persuades and inspires? There are probably many people in the world that have great ideas, but fail to be able to communicate those ideas to others.

This is one of the areas of my life that I have struggled with. I have done well in this area at times, but most of the time I have struggled. I think it comes down to a confidence issue. When I am walking close to the Lord, I have no problem communicating well (Oh I love to be able to communicate well what is in my heart!), but when I’m not, I tend to be to myself and like to keep away from others.

A good way I have found to gauge myself is by wether or not I want to answer my phone. If I don’t want to answer my phone, it is usually because I’m walking according to the flesh and don’t want to talk to anybody. Thats a good sign that I need to stir myself up.
