Winding Down and Winding Up

Today, finals at the University of Delaware have begun and students will soon be headed home for the summer.  As we wind down from the school year, we are winding up for the summer.IMG_4846

The first part of our summer will consist of meeting with individuals, churches, and businesses to share the vision of the ministry and our financial goals. We have so many good and exciting things to share!I’ll give you one example. The past few weeks I have been able to establish relationships with some of the campus ministries at the University of Delaware. I’m working to partner with them in reaching the students there. These discipleship ministries combined with our evangelism ministry will be a dynamic partnership. I’m excited to see it play out more in the coming year.

Also, in the beginning of the summer, I will be attending an evangelism training workshop in Boston. At this training, I will be learning a special kind of evangelism that is especially effective at the beaches (on the boardwalk). This training will not only hone my skills but enable me to teach others this type of evangelism. As we reach our financial goals, we will be looking spend time at the beach to put this kind of ministry to IMG_5063work! Ministry on the boardwalk has been some of the most fruitful I’ve experienced.

I want to meet with you!

I want to meet one on one with YOU this summer. Yes, you! I want to personally share with you the vision that God has put into my heart concerning this ministry and how you can help. Don’t be surprised if you get a call from me! As a matter of fact, no need to wait for me to call. Contact me and we will set up a time! I look forward to meeting with you! The Chaffee Family

I must admit, the past few weeks have been quite difficult for us. But, despite the hardships, God’s peace has kept our heart and mind.

Many of you know that we lost our baby in the womb at 19 weeks. Katrina had the difficult task of giving birth to this child. It was a hard time for me, but especially for her. She is recovering both physically and emotionally. God has been gracious to us through this experience. We are thankful that we will one day see our little boy on the other side.

Besides this, we’ve been in the Emergency Room twice with our other children and to the doctor multiple times! This is strange for us because we hardly ever get sick! Thankfully, we are on the downtick and everyone is doing better. We continue to covet your prayers for the ministry and for our family.

On the other side of the coin, the family has been involved more than ever in the 7165ED2D-F4FD-4168-A6B9-DD43863D07E7ministry! I had the pleasure of having my wife come out for the first time with me. Her support is such a blessing. Two of my children have also joined me at the University. They had a great time passing out tracts and were very good at it! It’s hard for anyone to refuse anything from such cute little faces! It also shows that anyone can play a part in the great commission. You may not be a preacher, or able to talk very well, but anyone can pass out tracts. It’s a great way to get out of your comfort zone and out among the people.

Join me!

Soon, we are starting an evangelism small group. We will be meeting once a week to learn about evangelism, and then we will be going out to do it! This small group is for ANYONE who has a heart for the lost. It doesn’t matter what your skill level or comfort level may be, there will be a place for you. Want to speak? Want to do one-on-one evangelism? We will train you. Just want to pass out tracts? We will do that, too. Shoot me an email or text if you want to be a part. We will be starting soon.

Thank you so much! Make sure to follow us on your social media of choice to keep up with the latest.

God Bless you!
